Being openly gay was not
done in the environment he grew up. Even divorce within the royal community was a reason
to be send abroad. Althought it is a public secret he was gay, felix decided to marry the
niece of the tsar. They stayed together for the rest of their life. His autobiography
tells about his life after the revolution with the normal things like a
car, a house, a dog, holiday, family and friends. They had a child in 1915 with the nickname baby. His family and
friends were centered around the russian community in Paris, the family of his father-in-law and royalties of the good old days. His parents lived in Rome. Around 1925 he lived with his wife and daughter on the island Corsica. They bought two houses
there. Often they went on Holiday to Biarritz
(France). His daughter married with and they had child called Xenia in 1942. In 1950
he lived in Paris, rue Pierre Guerin (interior). He died
in 1967 and was buried on the cemetery of
St.Genevieve du Bois near Paris. His granddaughter
and great-granddaughter live in Athena. |
